Corporate Computing Center
Our Center is equipped with powerful data processing systems.

1. Newest IBM zSeries generation z800 server is a parallel enterprise z800 server of 64-bit architecture. 8GB system memory, 80MIPS processing power, 16 ESCON channels with 17Mb/s speed, and an OSA adapter for networking via the Ethernet protocol at 100Mb/s speed.

Users can work on the z800 in separate logical partitions with the following operating systems: z/OS, z/VM, OS/390, and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server for S/390.

2. S/390 IBM9672 R15 architecture server is a parallel enterprise server of the S/390 architecture. 512Mb system memory, 63MIPS processing power, 4 ESCON channels with 17Mb/s speed, 6 parallel channels with 4.5Mb/s speed, and an OSA adapter for networking via the Ethernet protocol at 100Mb/s speed.

Users can work in separate logical partitions with different versions of OS/390 and VM/ESA Compatible systems. Linux Marist and SuSE for S/390 are loaded either in a separate logical partition or in the VM environment.

User may access the following products: DB2, IBM WebSphere Application Server and Apache Web Server, IBM Java 2, Tivoli Storage Manager, MySql Database, Samba File Server, KDE, Perl, Sendmail, and many others.

3. Integrated IBM IS/390 server: 256Mb system memory, 7 MIPS processing power, 1 ESCON channel, 2 parallel channels, 2 Ethernet ports.

For their work, users are provided with the IBM VM/ESA Compatible, Linux Marist, and Linux SuSE operating systems. Users also may access the following products:
  • Assembler, FORTRAN, Cobol, C, and PL/1 programming systems
  • TCP/IP, ACF/VTAM, TSAF, RSCS, PVM, GCS, AVS networking tools
  • RACF, DB/2, ADABAS, ORACLE, QMF, GDDM, AS, RTM, PRF packages

IBA-Gomel places special emphasis on maintaining close relations with local universities. Our company signed a cooperation agreement with the Gomel State University named after Francisk Skorina. Students from high schools come to IBA-Gomel to take training courses.
